What is this remote for?

So this remote was found with the other remotes for the coach. Any guesses as to where it could be used?

I donít think it is for the Onestep Awning or the generator slide.

The tire pressure gage is for size reference.

Though it doesn't look like my awning remote, it still may be one. Mine is rectangular with a ring for a key chain. Yours is a different shape, but has a loop for a key ring. Those features along with the "In/Out" buttons make me think it's an awning remote. The only other in/out item on a coach would be a step cover, but since you have a mid-door, you don't have one.

Now, a wild guess. Do you have aftermarket slide-out trays in the basement? Could one of them be a powered tray and that is the remote?

Your awning may have been replaced or possibly just the controls. I assume you tried it and nothing happened. If you did try it, did the little light at the top light when you pushed the buttons?

Yea I’ve tried it with no success. Yes the light on it lights up when I pressed the buttons.

The storage slides are manual.

I have a generator slide remote, but that one is small like a regular car remote

Well, it's got "In" and "Out", so it's almost certainly something that goes in and out

If it's got a removable battery, maybe there's a small tag or label in that compartment with a manufacturer and part number. If so, that can likely be Googled.

WOW--you have a genset slide remote on an 03 Alpine--electric or hydraulic slide? Dont think that remote is OEM either so you have several "upgrades."
PS--can you post us a picture of your genset slide remote?

Here is a picture of the generator slide control. Notice the switch beneath the normal switch. This does prevent the remote from working. Certainly looks aftermarket.

I will post the remote itself in a couple of days when I get back to the storage.

It looks to me like a remote for a winch of some sort. Did the previous owners have a Jeep or ATV with a winch mounted on the front?

I do not think I was clear with this statement.

There is a switch under the normal generator slide control. It is labeled remote On/Off. If it is switched to "Off" the remote will not work the slide, and of course if it is on "On" the remote will work the slide.

I do like the idea of being able to extend/retract the slide just standing there. The only catch is the ignition switch has to be in either On or Accessory. So I would have to go back in to retrieve the keys or lock the door with a different set of keys before walking away from the coach.
