Windshield wiper covers?

This may sound silly, but I’m looking for covers for our windshield wipers. Not just the blades but the entire arm. Our Alpines’ wipers rest upright, not down and flat. Anyone try anything that works?

Sorry, it’s been a long weekend. My brain wasn’t working. I can see now where I can cover all by buying 4 covers instead of 2 (as long as they Velcro).

I do like your pool noodle idea tho 🤔

Not 'Frugal" smart. I find all sorts of uses for these things. I still walk into awning arms but it hurts less these days. Working in a compartment with a door open? Slide a noodle onto the door's edges. Got ropes or straps tying an awning or Sun Shield down? Slip a bright colored noodle over the ropes. Want to stop some noise from tools rattling around in a compartment? You'd be surprised how many tools you can fit a pool noodle over. That fold up front shade on the window of a travel trailer is a candidate for a pool noodle or two.
Going swimming? Take a pool noodle with you!
This might be a fun thing to put into the general discussion room.
"Who has a different use for a Pool Noodle"?
I did

Pool noodles are like Franks Red Hot sauce.
I put that %%%% on everything lol.
Another use…fishing rod tips store nicely inside them.

I have been using 3/4 water pipe insulation. They’re already split, so just cut to length.

I use 1/2" pipe insulation to stick between the radiator and radiator support to keep air from flowing through. Also, as our furnace is under the couch we have a piece of insulation wedged in between the couch back and the wall to isolate the noise.

OK, dumb question. I have never heard of the reason to use windshield wiper covers.

I can see if you are parked for a long period of time but not for normal usage.

Why???

I'm assuming to get more life out of the wipers. My coach is parked facing West and I can put a fresh set on ever spring.
I use a small block under the arm to lift the blade off the glass. This gives me years out of a set now.

Exactly what Jeep401 said. We park facing west, plus we seem to be repainting the arms every spring (our winters spent on the South TX coast wreaks havok on them. Don’t know if covers will help or hurt there).

I use this "split wrap" as well and using along the edges of the slide outs does not detract from the looks of the RV and they have saved my back and head countless times.

I actually use spray on cotact glue on the back edges of the slides before putting the split wrap in place. Once the glue is dried, a fresh single blade razor works well to trim them flush with the outside edge.

The trimmed edge looks like a painted black line that ends with the heavy duty corner covers that are glued on as well.

I use tennis balls to keep the blade off the hot windshield, that way if I forget they will NOT chip the paint when it falls.I have to replace them each year, they are cheaper than blades!

Sun's UV can damage a wiper just it does tires. The cost of RV wipers is costly so protecting them from the sun and grime getting in them and winding up with streaking wipers covering them is what I've always done. I also use the Adco covers. My set is 13 years old.
