07 Pacifica no basement heat

I just purchased a 07 pacifica. I turned on the switch in the drivers side rear compartment where the shorepower line is. The basement heater is blowing cold
air out of the ceiling vents. I hear the propane heater trying to light but I have the propane tank shut off because i want to try the basement HVAC system. What am I missing?

I would suggest "Inside Temperature" rather than "Ambient".

What switch are you refering to? Sounds like the selector between 30/50 amp service. Are you hooked-up to 30A or 50A power?

Thanks fo your help. The switch is in the left rear compartment with the shore power line. It's a box mounted to the front wall. I'm not at the rig until next weekend. I thought the box said on and off and not 30 or 50 amp. the switch is really a switch lever. it's the only one like it on the rig. If the rig has a 30-50 switch this ahs to be it.

Anyway I first tried the basement heater plugged in only to 110 volt without any thing else on. After that didn't work I started the 8k watt gen set. That did not get heat. The outside temp was 54 and I had the thermostat set at 70 and 75.
i will try lowering the temp closer to the outside temp. it was blowing lots of cold air out of the ceiling vents. I did not have 30 or 50 amp available at the time.
Thanks
Mike

Mike, I'am doing this memory however I believe the "On" or up position of the switch is for 50 amp shore power, or when the gen is running. The "Off" or "Down" position is 30 amp shore power.

I wouldn't try running the basement system (A/C or Heat pump) on 110V household power.

Good luck.

Make sure that the 12 volt battery disconnect is not in the disconnect postion. The battery has to be turned on for the system to work.

That switch in the rear power cord compartment is the 30/50 amp selector switch. It's main purpose is to allow only one a/c compressor to come on when hooked up to 30 amp service.

Also, I just ran out to check, the Up location of the switch is indeed the 50amp setting.
