12v Panel by Entrance Door

The light for the aux. battery in panel by the enterance door is off and have no porch light. Disconnect works as the lights in MH go out but the ceiling lights (string lights) do not come on when switched on.
Help me to correct problem, Please.

I don't know about your rig, but mine the 12 VDC switch must be turned on for any 12 VDC to operate.

Ok, let me see if I get this right,,, light work till you unplug or
When you press the USE/STORE switch down (STORE) do you hear a CLUNK,, (IF yes continue, if not reply)

When you press the USE side (up) does it also clunk IF NO, read on if yes reply.

Mine the responses were YES/NO, i downloaded the service manual for the Intelletec BCC I have and found the test points and confirmed that the switch only worked one way.

IF this happens then there is a 5 amp fuse in the BCC you pull (if not sure which pull all 5 amp fuses).. now operate the switch like 50 times, both directions, restore fuses and try the test again, In my case, it worked.

What happened: Switch sat around a lot before it was installed, got tarnished, the tarnish was bad, Normally switch is self cleaning but at this level it self dirtied as fast as it self cleaned, or faster (Arcing) and thus no longer worked in one direction.

Removing the fuse (Power to the switch) allowed it to clean (The contacts self clean when operated) and then when power was restored it stayed clean, 8 years so far. Not complaining,

Finally: if this works then you need to make a decision.

A: Rush out and buy lotto tickets while your luck is hot
B: Do not do that cause you have used up your allotment of luck for the week.
