1995 dolphin slide out issue

Hello folks ,

New here to the board. We have a new to us a 1995 dolphin 35 foot with living room slide out. Yesterday it would not retract. There was no obstruction. It would come in about four inches at a slight upward angle then stop. Next push of the intellac switch would put it back out. Finally we had pushed the slide out from the outside while hitting the button. It went in with no problem. What happened? Do I need to adjust the circuit limiter?

Another question, where can I source the manual over ride jack for this unit? It has a D end. I have never had a slide out so this is all new. Is there a proper procedure for using the manual over ride and if so, how?

Thanks in advance to all you Dolphin owners out there that can help.

Sincerely,

Zack n Mack

quick questions

Did the motor stop operating, as in simply ran out of steam?
Did the motor make any noises, clunks, clinking, bangs... or did it just seem to run out of steam?
Did you try to retract the slide on battery power alone, or were you on generator or shore power?

I should elaborate. The motor requires good clean solid voltage to work properly. If you were operating on battery power, the draw just might have been too much.

But if you were on shore power, that would most likely clear that as the culprit.

Shore power. Motor made no abnormal sounds. Slide retracted a put three inches then stopped. Would then retract back to full open. Myself and another person pushed on the slide unit while the button was depressed for close. Went in with no issue nor abnormal sounds. Did check gears and shafts prior and no obstruction. Should the circuit limiter be adjusted an eighth of a turn like the manual suggests, or does it seem that there might be a more insidious issue?

Also, once I get ahold of a proper manual over ride jack is there a procedure to be used, or does one just apply the jack and start turning?

Sorry for not getting back sooner. We are vendors selling at a July 4th event and were setting up our booth all day. Hope everyone's Fourth is glorious.

Yup, without a hitch. With human assist in the outside it went in no problem. We did not have to assist all the way either, just the first several inches.

Won't be able to answer back for a while as we will be working our show today, but will get back when I can. Greatly appreciate the questions.
