1999 Tradewinds floor under sleeper sofa?

Is the floor under the sleeper sofa unobstructed? I want to remove it and put two recliners in it's place.

What would it be obstructed by? Is it in a slide? I'd remove the sofa and take a look. Very likely the carpeting was laid before the furniture was installed.

I feel dumb..... Yes, it is in a slide and what I thought was the bottom of it is actually the slide.

What through me off is that the portion of the slide that is under it is longer than the walls of the slide and even the floor of the same slide to the left of it.
