2000 Trade Winds Shower Skylight

Good Morning,

I'm new to the form, and I must say its refreshing to see so many National RV owners in one forum. We just purchased our first RV which is a 2000 Tradewinds. I've been fixing all the little issues, that seem neverending. Last night I noticed a small crack in the skylight above the shower. Can anyone tell me where I might might find an exact replacement? If there just not available, I'm good with a aftermarket skylight. The ones that I've viewed don't seem to transition down over the flange, the edge seems to stop on the sealing surface. Thank you for your direction, I've had several questions answered just by ready the pages, but I'm sure I will have several more.

I do believe if yours is like mine it's a 2 piece system. You have the outside dome and the inside cap. My inside was cracked and I took it out and measured and ordered a new one. They are not cheap, the inside was over $100 alone. The size is determined by the measurements of the cut. My problem was that the hole was 1/8" smaller than anything I could order anywhere. I ended up just fixing the existing one. I didn't want to cut any holes in my roof. I would take it out and take it to an RV parts dept. to have them see what they can order.

I had replaced mine last week.

They have a Curb-Mounted Double Dome (need curb mount not flat flange), model CD16X24. This fits a Curb OD of 17.5" X 25.5" and there is a tolerance of 1/2" so it fit my rough measurement of 18" X 26". The cost was $57.68 plus shipping.

Ours was replaced by the dealer when purchased. If and when there's a next time, I'll be doing some mods of my own with some plastic glass that I have on hand.

Thank you to everyone that replied!

Lit, you seemed to have the exact answer I was looking for. Dick your compiled data base is most impressive. I can only hope someday we all end up in the same rv park! Thanks again to all!
