2000 Tradewind 7373 fresh water pump
MH has ShurFlo water pump but is very noisey. When it was probably new, it was 40psi pump and changed to 50psi. Any recommendations for a pump that isn't quite so noisey and delivers good water pressure? TIA

I replaced my old pump with the 5.3 GPM AquaJet. It's a beast. There's also a 3.5 GPM version.

2000 Tradewinds 7373 fresh water pump
TechWriter thank you for responding. I looked at the link to the pump and was concerned with the amount of water pressure it could build up in the lines of my OLDER MH. Afraid they will burst and that would be a disaster. I don't know the rating of my water lines. I just know the 1st pump removed was rated for 40psi and pulled 7 amps. We did replace it with the 50psi pump that pulled 10 amps and didn't have any blown lines or fuses. Should I be concerned?

I put the large AquaJet in my 2001 Newmar. Nothing blew up. However, the big pump needs a full 10A.

The only thing I felt was weak in my '02 Tradewinds was from the supply lines in the cabinete under the sink to the faucet had been made in house useing hose clamps and reinforced hose.
I replaced them with SS when I replaced the sink faucet.

Booze Travel thank you for responding. I think SS is a very good idea. Our MH has those round ring clamps that require a squeezing tool that I don't particularly like near the pump area.

Sometimes, clamping loose/ flopping pipes helps, or ADDING softer flex hose between pump and Hard piping? They sell kits or you FAB your own w/ parts, to meet YOUR needs? https://www.amazon.com/Camco-20105-W...28876688&psc=1

I recently researched the REINFORCED WHITE HOSE= (from memory) rated around 200-PSI (close to PEX rating); BUT Could never find if PEX CRIMP clamps are approved/ acceptable w/ the HOSE, (but they do use crimp collars, when used on standard garden hose fittings). I was also surprised to see OD on PEX FITTINGS= (closer to) 7/16" vs 1/2"? Hmmmmmm...???

My 200 tradewinds has a noisy pump because it is fixed to the plywood floor behind the control panel, I fitted a new pump with rubber mountings but its still noisy

Thank you THenne1713 for both replies. I saw the garden style hose on our MH and it was hard as a rock. I thought someone had jerry-rigged the hose, but now I know it was built that way. Thank you. Maybe it does need replaced. It makes removing the metal access panel hard to pull out so you can get your arm behind it to do any work such as removing the pump or hoses. Perhaps that will be on my list when I have to replace the water pump. Apparently I am not the only one complaining about noisey pump and vibrations since it is mounted on the floor with rubber mounts.

The rings are used for PEX plumbing tubing. It is virtually indestructable. We used it for all of the compressed air lines in my shop running 150psi 24/7/365.
It is the standard in construction plumbing for the last 20yrs at least.
You can buy a tool to cut the copper rings on Amazon for about $15. I use SS crimp rings and a ratcheting crimp tool that is good for tight spaces, also bought from Amazon for $39, I think. It has a yellow and black handle and a led light to let you know when the ring is crimped fully.
You shouldn't have to worry about overpressurizing the pex plumbing and it is easy to work with.

2000 Tradewinds 7373 fresh water pump
Thank you Booze Travel for your response to my pex tubing plumbing rings. Your suggestion for tools to remove/reinstall the the rings is very much appreciated. I have had more dealings with SS adjustable clamps on our autos and farm equipment. Good to know the rings are really good.
