Hello,

Open the slide remove the bolts that hold the sofa down. You may need to take the back off the sofa to get it out the door. Why put the slide out, the bolts go through the floor and you dont want to get them hung up in the slide.

Richard,
I am very nervous about messing with anything to do with the slide. I take the bolts out remove the sofa and put the bolts back in right? They attach to the slide arm underneath.

On our Tradewinds, the sofa is not "bolted" in, rather it is held by three screws into bracing on the wall behind the sofa. These screws are accessed by opening the sofa part way and reaching down through the opening with a cordless drill and bit. Check to make sure yours is bolted through the floor. As on your coach our recliner was bolted through the floor as it has a plate and turn table mechanism to secure.
