Is this your first RV as well ?
Was the coach winterized when you bought it ?
Do you have any info on the water heater ? Brand ? Model ?
Info will be on a tag inside the cover on the outside of the RV.

Remove the outside grill from the heater ; usually just a spring loaded ring to line up with a slot to pull the grill off.
There are probably , by-pass valves , at the rear of the heater that have to be located and moved to the correct position to fill the heater before turning it on.

I have a 2001 5352. There is a bypass for the water heater in the compartment where the fresh water connects. It is normally turned off for winterization.
There should be a switch on the panel with the tank levels to turn the gas burner on. Make sure the tanks is full of water.
Good luck

Are you referring to the panel that shows all tank levels for grey and black water?

If your 2001 Dolphin is like my 2004, your water heater will run off both propane and electric. The switches for both are on the panel with the tank levels. You can operate them both simultaneously to heat water quickly, but as previously mentioned you need to make sure that the water heater has water in it before you turn the switches on or you will damage it. The electric element in mine was burned out (probably from running the heater dry) when I bought my Dolphin. Fortunately, the replacement element was only about $30 and I replaced it myself in less than 1/2 hour.
You should hear the gas burner ignite if the gas part is working properly. Electric is harder to know, as the light in the switch will illuminate even if the electric element is burned out.
You need to become familiar with the settings of the levers in your water bay, as they are set differently for normal operation vs tank sanitation or winterization. After four years of owning this coach, I still have to refer to my manual occasionally to be sure I have them set right when performing those functions.

One reason for low water pressure after winterization is the outside shower valves have been left open.

On my '98 5330, there is a water heater bypass valve inside, under the fridge, that provides access to the back side of the heater. It is usually opened when winterizing. Check for it and turn it 90 degrees from its present position and see if that helps.
