2001 Tradewinds Headlights

well.. my headlight capsules were getting rusty on the inside, meaning very low light output....In searching for replacements, I discovered the originals were made by AUTOPAL, which is Autolite of India. They have a US distributor, RIMI,Ltd., in Plano, Texas. I bought 2 sets of 2 each of the 200mm headlamp units with the Halogen bulbs, for just under $100.00, SHIPPING INCLUDED. They fit, are clear & bright.........

Are yours chrome? mine are plastic but am looking for more brighter light.
Also when I put my lights on I get a high pitch noise (which drives the dog crazy). any explanation?

The insides of the capsules are bright chrome plated...with the halogen bulbs they are really bright.... You can order the standard brightness bulbs or upgrade to a brighter one...all on their website...

We have a 2000 Tradewinds that was doing the same thing. I replaced two of the headlight housings at a cost of $40.00 each only to have them rust up again. The rubber behind the bulbs are not good at sealing them.
Better solution was to buy sealed headlights. You can get them at any auto parts store. Part # SylvaniaŽ XtraVisionŽ - Headlight

Part # H6054XV . Same as on our 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport.
They mount right in and you will never have a problem with them rusting.
