2002 Dolphin 5342 Dometic frig.

My fridge has gone belly up. It's a Dometic NDR1292, two door side by side. Can I replace just the cooling unit or should I bite the bullet and buy a new fridge? I can't find a direct replacement (unit with the same dimensions) for the NDR 1292. Has anyone had to replace their NDR1292, or knows of a fridge that would be a direct replacement for my unit?
Thanks,
Naumann

We took a winery tour in the Finger Lakes NY region and parked at a very steep angle with the reefer running on propane poor idea so from first hand knowledge as of last summer yes you can replace just the cooling unit

Google "Amish rv refrigerator" .rvcoolingunit.net/ new replacement units, lots of good reviews, they say they are good to call and speak with. their are You Tube videos of How To install.. I have not dune it, but I believe I could replace mine if I needed to. Good luck.

Dometic Fridge

I had mine replaced 3 years age with a new cooling unit. Have had no trouble with it.
