2002 Dolphin spark knock sensor

I have a 2002 National Dolphin with Workhorse/Chevy 8.1. My starter went bad and put knew on on. While remove old stater it slipped out of my hand and broke the Knocker sensor off. I found a set, however the thread size was too small. I cannot find a sensor with the right size threads. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to GM or NAPA.

I just changed one last week on the left side with a NAPA DKS230. So far is is working ok no chk engine light since the replacement.

NAPA and the other stores have several types of sensors, I took a picture of mine and the second one they brought out was the correct one. The connector is was the issue.

How I determined the problem/fix.

I first got a check engine light and it indicated that the RIGHT sensor was bad. After reading about the sensors, I found out it could be the sensor or wire harness. Soooooo, I swapped the sensors, right to left, left to right, and reset the check engine light. a couple of days went by and the LEFT one came on. Not the harness.

Easy to replace, just be careful not to lose the rubber/foam insulator that falls out of the wire connector.

That part number I had in my first post is what was on my rig. The connector wasn't the round one, mine has a clip for the wire connector. Take a picture to be sure as I mentioned before, they have several different ones.
