2003 Dolphin Light Issues

My wife and I are 1st time (Class A) owners of a 2003 National Dolphin 35'. Does anyone know what type of bulb is used in the flexible map lights? Also, where can i look to try to find new (or used) front headlights (The complete piece)? It appears that someone has replaced these earlier. Even though they work, they don't fit exactly! Thanks in advance for any help!

I looked at a picture of a '03 Dolphin and it looks like the headlight assembly is the same as our '05. The unit is a Chevy Tahoe or Silverado truck of about '98 to '02. Not real sure of the exact years, but somewhere in that range.

Bummer! They looked the same from the picture. Here is what my '05 lights look like.

Here are some pics that I took. Hopefully there is someone that can assist. As you can see, previous work must have been done! Thanks!

Interesting! The section of your front cap below the beltline and the grill look like a custom job. Is that NRV standard for the LX model of that year? I don't remember seeing any mesh grill inserts like that on any other Dolphins.

two2go, that is not the original grill. On the 2003 model, there was a whistle or whine that would occur at around 65 -- 70 MPH. NRV tried several measures as a cheap fix. I think it was finally determined to be the lower grill was the main problem area, because in the 2004 model (amndy maybe the later models as well) there is NO grill at all in the lower section. They also changed the design of the upper grill (with more space). I pretty much fixed the problem in my 2003 LX by attaching a large mesh screen from inside and securing it to the grills with numerous plastic ties. I rarely get any noise now, sometimes if heading into a slight cross wind, I will get some noise. I was able to keep both top and lower grills, though.

Doe's anyone have the #'s off of their 2003 for their headlight and turn signal assemblies? The lights that were on mine previously, were off an earlier astro van? Is this something i'm going to have to take to a body shop and have them rig it to work? I can't believe it's this hard to find out any information. Wish we were enjoying our RV instead of working on it!

Here are some numbers from my 2003 LX on the Headlights:

GM 16525194 (R) GM 165252193 (L) Other numbers (same for both lights):

DOT DRL 12P A(2) P299 Guide 8C >PC<

I think the important numbers are the first 2 listed (R and L). Good Luck!
