2003 Tradewinds/Cat 330 ABS Light?

Hey all,

I have a 2003 National Tradewinds, and randomly the ABS light is on today as we get ready to go underway. Drove perfect yesterday. Any ideas?

Most times an ABS light on is due to problems with a wheel speed sensor .

First thing to check is that all four wheel sensor's wiring has not been damaged in any way.

ABS system is installed by chassis manufacturer .
Is your coach on a Freightliner chassis ?

Hey Skip,
It’s a Spartan chassis - I think it must have been the way i parked or something. As soon as I started it up and unlocked the parking brake, it shut off- no problems at all driving.

Thanks for your reply- I’ll probably check the speed sensors just to be safe. Thanks!

Similar issue self resolved

My 02 Tradewinds on a Spartan did that 2-3 times in the first year we got it in 2013. Went off on its own. No other symptoms. I hear it can be dirt between the sensor and the wheel but I never did anything about it.
