I have got to open up my dash. The squeaks and rattles in the dashboard are driving me insane. Think some of what you guys have discovered will help me.

It's not like you can really see the switches with just the porch light on, especially when your porch light is LED.

I converted that one to strip LEDs. It's always on hi or low (1 or 5 strips).

Spray some silicone lubricant or protectant around the side and front dash edges and see it that quiets it down some.

Ok, finally found some quality time with the motor home and worked a bit on my dash. I discovered that a big source of squeaks for me was coming from the instrument cluster panel. The sides of it were rubbing against the dash holding it. Someone prior to me had that cluster off as it was missing two nuts that screwed unto some posts at either end.

I stuck on a bunch of thin felt pads so that the instrument cluster trim piece could not flex and rub against the dash. It worked very well - now I hear all kinds of smaller squeaks elsewhere around the front end.

Thought I would pass my findings along.
