I had the same problem with my 2003 Dolphin. I checked everything and it didn't make sense. The AC and heat would work with the engine started and plugged of Gen working. Also I didn't know my converter was not working. The thermostat NEEDS 12volts which it gets from the house batteries to activate the relays in both units. Starting the coach provided the 12volts to the house batteries. You can use jumper cables from your vehicle to your house batteries and see if it comes on. Make sure you connect the cables correctly if you have two 6volt batteries. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the reply, I must have had a bad connection at the wiring harness. Its still working fine.
