2006 National Dolphin on Ford F53 Rear sway bar bushing gone!

Bought a new UltraTrac Rear Bar last week for my "new to me" 2006 Dolphin on the Ford F53 22k chassis. Good weather today so I decided the climb under the RV and to start installing it. But when I got under the coach I noticed something was missing? Not only where the rear sway bar bushing on the axle gone, but on the drivers side the bracket was gone too.

Sadly, a fairly common issue.

And really easy to check! AND, really easy to fix!

Poly bushing like those are the business. You won't need to replace them again.
My rather older F53 even discarded its lower shock absorber bushings over the years.

Seems like this thread ought to be in the Ford chassis section.

I had almost the exact thing on my 2006 Damon when I bought it. One metal clamp missing, the other bushing falling out. Poly is your friend. Make sure to use blue locktite and torque those bolts to 66 ft lbs.

Good luck on the trac bar install. Mine was a bear, especially the torque requirements, but I was successful, and it made a nice handling difference.

Umm, isn't there supposed to be a grease zerk in that center hole?

I changed mine as well. The bracket I got I think from Ford, if not Ford, then Skuderdude, did not have a hole there. My bushings came with some kind of lubricant to apply to the inside of the bushing. Putting grease into that hole would not do any good, I don't think. Seems to me the bar needs to move inside the bushing. I am NOT a mechanic, I only did what was in the instructions. I am wondering though if the OP's bushings came with some lubricant??

I'm curious as to what the other blue, I assume bushings, are for. Other areas that need new bushings possibly??

No. The bushing is greased with a special lube specifically for Poly bushings, between the bushing and the anti-sway bar only. Keeps them from squeaking.
