Decided to take a look and see if National Updated their website for the 2008's yet. They have the 2008 preview brochures for all the coaches (minus the Riptide and Nautica).
Here is the Link:
2008 Preview Brochures
Interesting how they have streamlined their line some. The Dolphin has fewer floorplans now. Pacifica has more. Not sure on the others.

Mike, I noticed the brochures last night, and found a few very interesting changes in the product lines. Like you mentioned, the product lines have been streamlined, aka, dropped some floor plans. Basement air has been dropped from all product lines, and in the Sea Breeze and Dolphin lines the "LX" is no longer a separate line but an "Option Package". I am not sure if it's a misprint, however the only units with dual pane windows are the Pacifica and Tropi-Cal lines. The Surf Side, Sea Breeze, Dolphin and Tropi-Cal LX, have "Safety Glass". The product lines interior appointments have been improved, but nothing really new.

Fred, I remember when we were ordering our coach that the LX was to be an option package. I have not read much into the brochures yet but I did see that the dolphins still have dual pane windows. Unfortunately, I didn't get the 32" living room LCD or the 19" bedroom LCD. I guess that means future upgrades. The only other thing I saw was the Tele-slide bedroom option on the Dolphin. That is a good change but I am wondering how much that option will be.

Mike, in 2002-2007 the "LX" was presented as one of two Dolphin product lines, even had separate brouchures. Our 2003 had dual pane windows, however our 2005 has safety glass, indicting the change was either in '04 or '05.
JoeP, you must have missed the obit that came out in early '07 Tradewinds just sort of fadded away as the Pacifica was presented.

Fred:
I asked at the Pendleton Rally and was told that the TW would be continued this year and would be redesigned for the 09 year. I guess things are still "fluid" ....
The difference between the 40 foot Pacfica and the 39 foot Trop is really minimal ... maybe slight floorplan differences but chassis etc are the same.
I wish they would tell us what they are doing. Right now, if I had to immediately replace my 03 Trop, I can see nothing in the diesel product line that excites me ... Price point of the Pacifica and the Phaeton are very close .....

Joe, you are right on, currently the Tiffin line looks very attractive and would be on my short list if I was to replace my unit. I guess Tiffin would be my "Fall Back" unit if NRV cannot pull out of the hole they have dug.

I did notice the roof airs on the 08 Pacifica featured on the front page of Motor Home mag last month. Had me wondering about the basement air. I wonder why they abandoned it???

Steve, I was discussing the Pacicica full wall slide-out with a member of the NRV marketing department when the 2007 Pacifica was introduced earlier in the year. I noticed the interior return air grills and was informed that the basement air was not capable of cooling large units, and all of the 2008 Pacificia units would have roof air units. I was surprised to see the Dolphin line drop the basement air for 2008, however I am sure pricing played a large role. While I like my basement air, there are pluses and minuses for both units.

Yep, knew the separate Dolphin lines as I did a bunch of research before we bought ours. As for the basement air, I would bet it is a cost issue too. I don't remember anyone complaining about losing that basement space. I really like ours, very quiet and works REALLY well.
