Question 2008 Sea Breeze GFI no power

I have a 2008 Sea Breeze. The GFI plugs in the kitchen and bathroom do not work. I checked the breakers and reset them all, but still no power. Any advice?

Remove the GFI outlet and check for power at the wires. GFI outlets go bad and need replacing. They should not be used for space heaters and other high amp items.

I have a 2007 Sea Breeze and had issues with mine, I have a GFI behind the refrigerator that was tripping you might want to look there.

Another thing to check, after testing the wires in the GFI, is to make sure the wires attached in the breaker panel are tight. In a bumpy RV, it's not uncommon for the wires screwed into the panel work loose.

What do you mean by 'power post'?

The post where I hook up the shore cable. Outside. Actually, the entire center of the RV is not working. The front and rear outlets work just fine. Just the middle. The fridge works great as well as the microwave

If you have 50 amp service, it could be that one leg of the power is out. If you have two air conditioners, they are definitely on different legs. You could also fire up the generator, it should supply power to both legs. If you have a multimeter, you can test the outlet for power and also check your plug and cord for continuity. Also check the two circuit breakers at the top of your panel, shut them off then on again to reset.

That did the trick! I do have 50 amp. svc, so I tested the 2 A/C units, and only the back one worked. I powered up the gen. and everything worked. It was indeed the power input outside that is bad. They are going to have an electrician come out and repair it. Thanks for your advice and suggestions.

You've just experienced the vagaries of campground electrical service. I wouldn't hook up but through a EMS. (electrical management system) As soon as I plug in my shore cord, the display gives a reading of correctly wired, volts on each leg, etc. It only connects if everything is O.K. and protects from low voltage, power surges, etc. Of the two major brands, I highly recommend Progressive Industries product. Lifetime repair or replacement, unlike the TRC Surge Guard EMS which goes bad and you're out of luck!

My PI EMS was fried at a campground, I called PI and a tech walked me through a diagnosis that showed the unit's control board was bad. He offered me the choice of sending in the unit or he's send the control board to me. I got the board overnight and replaced it myself, sent the bad board back in the same box, No charge! That's a business I can support!
