A/C blowing out junk! & Dash A/C charge.

I have a 2004 Seabreeze that I keep in covered storage, went to pick up for weekend trip, and when I turned on the dash air pieces of foam, black and badly dried out, blew out the vents. Only a few pieces and just lasted a few seconds. The foam had obviously deteriorated and come loose, upon trying to pick up it would turn to powder between my fingers. I am assuming it is some kind of insulation, or seal between sections of plenum. Doubt that it is of serious concern, but worth the asking?

Anyone had this? Dash air still functioning, although I think it could use a charge. While at it, any ideas what coolant is in that vintage? Chassis is Ford F-53 and is 2003. Location of the schrader valves would help too.

Thanks

Do you have a dash cover that covers the defrost vents. Inspect the bottom of the dash cover for deterriation.

Just a guess here from same happening on VW Jetta, The mix door or max Ac at the input of the outside air intake has a rubber/foam gasket stuck to it I suppose to help seal it, with heat and age it fails and sucks the remains thru the fan and out the vents, lots of it stick in the vents coming out. I have now idea on the motor home lay out only my experience with my car. Good luck FYI on it if the inlet filter was removed from the cowl area you could see the door and remove the failing gasket and thus far still works fine.

It the filter material they use. My Jeep Wrangler started doing that after 10 years it was just disintegrating and blowing out little pieces every so often.
