A/C Gasket replacement

Anyone out there ever replace the gasket on their Dometic roof A/C??

Mine was replaced last year by a local yokeal and is now leaking again. When they replaced it they said they would not warranty their work since the Solar Panel wire run through the A/C hole. If National could make it last for 12 years you'd think a repair shop could get it to last more then a year.

Here's my question to those of you who may have replaced your own gasket, does the Solar Panel wire run under the gasket or on top of the gasket????

And yes I have tightened up the mount bolts.

Is the leak from rain....or AC condensate? Makes a difference.... Rook

I replaced gaskets on both units last winter. All wires need to run on top of gasket (actually wires go through the square gasket hole in center 14 X 14"). The gasket seals to the roof by pressure, wires would create an area for leaks to occur.

Rook, it is the rain. I looked at where the Solar Panel wire comes in inside the A/C and the one they replaced appears to have the cable ran between the roof and the gasket. My rear air has the second Solar Panel cable running in above the gasket. I'll get this fixed in Las Vegas in a few weeks with a Mobile RV Tech I've used before. I'm going to have him take pictures of how the RV shop here in the Salt Lake Valley did the gasket last year. Always wanted to go on the Judge Mathis show. If I find they screwed it up I'll post it on rvservicereviews so you all know to stay away from them.
