ABS Plastic Slide Skid

Anyone on this forum need to replace the black ABS plastic skids under their front slide in their MH or 5th wheel? I found a Plastics Fabricator here in SLC, Utah who will make the mold from one of mine that broke off. These will be cheaper if more are made. Here is a pic of the skid.

They are under the front slide. If you extend the slide about half way and then lift the carpet edge up you will see the skids at each end and in the middle under the front of the slide. If your 01 is just the model 7390 it should have these.

Took my MH in to an old National dealer here in SLC, UT. They were to remove the slide and take one of the good skids off so I could have a Plastics Fabricator make a mold. I had intended sharing this mold with others who might need a new skid. When the Service Manager watched my slide moving in and out he said that the RV Tech who fixed it was really knowledgeable and that the nylon pieces he installed in Vegas last year are far superior to the factory ABS skids. Although they could have made at least a grand + off of me, he said if it was his he would not change it. How refreshing to find an honest Service facility. The RV Dealer is called Motor Sportsland here in Salt Lake City, Utah. The RV Mobile Tech who fixed it last year in Las Vegas is called Affordable RV Service & Repair.

Thanks for the info Joe, always good to keep repair facilities in your hip pocket. Glad to hear you have reached a favorable conclusion.
