I use 4 120mm X 25 mm Masscool fans. Got them on line for about 7-9$ and free shipping. I also use an thermostat switch like klixon also on line for about 6$. My fans are mounted on top of the roof vent base and under the cover.

Sounds like M&EM has the fix for your fan.
Now for the rest of the story on my Jacks, as stated I put 6 1/2 Qts. in. Then Thursday as we were leaving for a weekend my jacks down alarm went off when I put the transmission in gear... Double damn.. Thought it through, read the manual, added more fluid, sounded good, then drove off. I still had the alarm about every five ten minutes.. Finally it quit. I think I need to ad just a few more ounces.. Maybe just before we head back home..

Sounds like the fluid level is right at the threshold of the alarm. Temperature at start up is lower then when traveling so expansion of fluid occurs enough to quiet the alarm. Mine is at that point during winter months and will need a few more ounces one of these days.

It's possible that when you drained your tank that you might have gotten a bit of air in the line. When you put the jacks down and then raised them, the fluid level dropped enuff to cause the alarm to sound and as you're going down the road it'll slosh around and also kick it off.

Good reason. I have been reading dextron 111 and dexron 111. Is there a difference and do you know how many quarts it takes?

I do not know about the fluids differences.. I bought mine at O'reillys and the bottle is over at the coach.. But I did put in almost 7 Quarts.. if you drain it, pour it into milk jugs and that will tell you how much to put back in.. and I filled it to the groves on the plug to get the alarm to finally quit.

Fallow up on the amount of fluid needed. I was getting the rig ready for a trip.. jacks down alarm going off... I added 8 more ounces of trans fluid. I hope it was contraction from cold weather, and not a leak. I will know soon enough.

Mr. Seaview,
Your jack system is the same as mine, no dip stick. Check level at the angled plug on side of reservoir, add fluid until it almost overflows. Manual attached.
From Power Gear Manual
Check the fluid level every month. Fill the reservoir with the jacks in the fully retracted
position. On 1998 - PRESENT model year coaches, the fluid should be within 1/4 inch of
the fill port lip and checked only with all jacks retracted. On pre-1998 model year coaches
the fluid level should be approximately 1/8 inch on the dipstick and checked only with all
jacks retracted.

A friend has the same MH. The reservoir on their's is behind the right, passenger side front tire. Not easy to get at.

I have a 2005 Monaco La Palma - workhorse chassis. The leveling system is Power Gear. I've read everything here and searched for the jacks reservoir but can't find it. Does anyone know where it is? Thanks!
