Air Conditioner shroud

I have a 2002 Dolphin 5356, the shroud over the front air conditioner on the roof got a hole in it. I have tried to find a model number in our owner manual but it doesn't give one. The conditioner is 13500 BTU, does anyone have any information? I would like to purchase a new one. Have called the normal places like, RV Dealers, Camping World & Gander. Any help would be appreciated. It's a Dometic brand.

I located a couple sources for replacement shrouds on the Internet but decided to poll a few other 1999 Tradewinds owners to see if they had any recommendations. They did. The same vendor too, Icon Direct in Canada. I also found out that I was the only one in our little circle of Tradewinds owners that still had the original A/C shrouds, a distinction I would soon lose.

Here's a link to my experience: Our Highway Life: Brittle Shroud Syndrome

Do you know the manufacture of the A/C unit??

I replaced the rear shroud on my Southwind with a MaxAir. My A/C units are old RVP units (Coleman owns them now)

There are part numbers in this article, I also replaced the starting caps, had to replace cover mount bolts, and cut out the rear openings to improve airflow.

Thanks for the offer Wshiley. Since I'm going to remove it, to get the model # I'm going to see if I can repair it, I did that on my first original cover and it lasted a total 11 years before I replaced it.

I almost asked what size hole and would you consider a repair. So....how big is the hole and what materials or process is in the works. Thanks

I had the same issue 6 months ago, you can pull the cover from the A/C (inside) and there will be a sticker with the serial number or part number on it, mine was way up there and had to take a pic with my phone to get it. Then call Dometic and they can get you the right shroud, the dealers here all tried to sell me the wrong one, plus Dometic will drop ship it and your not paying the middle man an up charge.

I repaired it yesterday! It had a hole about the size of a silver dollar, plus while taking it off the roof to work on, it was so fragile it developed 3 more cracks> What I did, was I took a cool whip lid cut out a piece larger then the hole and attached it with Gorilla glue the rest of cracks I drilled a small hole at each end and added duct tape on the underside and put JB Weld on the top of the outside. Today Mighty Wife and I are going to paint on the flex seal on all the injured parts. I did find the part number for the shroud ------3309364. 002 Polar white paintable.
