Time for a EMS surge protector would have saved you all this trouble.

Looking at surge- low power protection any suggestions or experience in this?? Looking at Hughes Autoformer RV 50 amp 220sv. Expensive but not if it saves my air conditioner or something else in the coach.

Progressive Industries EMS of your choice. Has saved my bacon at least 5 times in 7 years. The last time was two weeks ago where one leg of the 50 amp was open. EMS would not let the RV connect to the pedestal. Of course the park was sure it was my faulty unit. Park electrician said it was a bad 50 amp breaker in the pedestal.

Thanks all for the help . Ended up buying the Hughes autoformer 50 amp. It’s not the one that adds voltage but it does protect against high and low current shutting down automatically. It restores again in 90 seconds if power is within range. This is all bluetoothed to my phone. It also shows current for each line as well as usage. Time will tell if this one was a wise choice.

Yes Progressive EMS.
I had issues with my a/c too.
One of the things Airxcel recommended was an upgraded circuit board.

I got the unit in and working . Don’t need the air for now that it’s so cool. But heat pump would be a possibility. But I am a little gun shy on this have just been using the propane heat so far. Paying for one repair and the resultant surge etc. Is enough for now. All of course was tested after repairs and new surge so it works. Thanks so much for help. By the way the reason I eventually with the Hughes watchdog I did is in the event of a very large surge. The board is replaceable in this one. Where many of the others are a total loss if this occurs.
