Air Conditioning

With our 2000 National Tradeswinds Class A motorhome, we have had success running the front and back air conditioners - do they require 50 amp service to function at the same time?

Generally yes, they do require 50 amps.. If you have an enegery management system they may well insist on 50 amps.

On my coach, a 50 amp model, there is no EMS, as a result I have on two occasions, just 2, been able to do it.

1: When the coach was brand new

2: This last week, When I parked I climbed up and CLEANED the condenser coils so that air moves through them way better.

In between (The rig is 5 years old) I've not had success doing it.

Regular cleaning is now on the routine maintenance list.

Your coach was manufactured with 50 amp service form shore power or from the generator. You car run both 13.5 BTU air conditioners at once.
