aqua magic toilet

i have the original aqua magic toilet in my motorhome. just got back from
being out on the road for 30 days and toilet worked fine. now i noticed that
the small plastic pedal that fills the bowl with water is loose and all the way
down on the floor. its almost like a bolt or a spring came loose?

the big pedal that operates the flap valve is still working.

my question is do i have to take the whole toilet out to fix this? i am hoping
i can fix it without removing the toilet? any suggestions or help? thanks

Sounds like the cable going to the water valve broke. Yes, you have to remove the toilet to fix it. Thetford sells a kit with incredibly detailed instructions. It's not that difficult.
