Looking recommendations. Thought about putting a window air unit in temporarily. Looked at remote AC's to sit in the front.
My basement ac is ok for when parked . Going down the road with vents all closed to direct air to the front - not so ok up front. Dash air used to work super - after spending $$$$$ on it, I gave up. I cut the required hole and installed a 15,000 btu roof unit . Only difficult part was running electric to it. The basement ac going down the road is set on 30 amp and both will run at the same time using the gen.. Parked with both working is excellent. Take your rv to someone who will install a roof ac for you. Evidently , who you checked with didn't want to do the job or didn't know how.

Mine's a 5500, but sounds like I should still be ok.

Here is what we face. Last weekend at an event it was 90 degrees high humidity and where we were parked we had no afternoon shade. With the sun on the passengers side and a thermometer by the stove it was 87 degrees. Back by the thermostat it said it was 85. The thermostat was set on 74.

Air is cold coming out of the AC vents. One fan in bedroom trying to move cool air forward and a second tower fan mid way. sunshades on the RH side and the windshield.

Basement A/C help

How cold can you get it in the morning? If itís getting cold itís probably working good. Unfortunately the afternoon sun is your enemy. Thatís about all your going to get. Get that baby cold in the morning and limit your ins and outs.

During the night the AC will shut of when set at 74. I do not know how cold we could get it in the morning.
