Battery Booster

I have a 2001 39' diesel National Tradewinds on a Freightliner chassis. My battery booster that connects my house batteries to my chassis batteries no longer works. I would think there is some type of solenoid that connects the two somewhere back in the battery area, but I cannot locate one. There is a compartment in front of the driver's side front wheel that houses a lot of electrical fuses. There is also a solenoid. It has a hot cable coming to it and when the ignition is turned on, it clicks and energizes the outgoing cable. I wouldn't think this has anything to do with the battery booster.

Has anyone had this problem? If so, I would appreciate hearing your solution.

I have four 6-volt house batteries and two 12-volt starter batteries, which are approximately two years old, but I would like to have my booster connector working. Thank you and Happy Trails.

Larry

Larry:
It's hidden pretty well. You can find it on the back of the 12VDC distribution board in the compartment with the inverter. Also on the back of the board is a 150A circuit breaker. The chassis batteries should be connected to JP1 (left) and the house batteries to JP3 (center) on top of the board.

Larry, just curious how things turned. I seem to have the same issue on my 02 Tradewinds.

Thanks, Ken
