Battery disconnect relay location

I just bought a 96 Dolphin 434. Been redoing the interior while parked next to the house. All of a sudden one day the switch does not work to turn on the batteries the one next to the entrance. No noise from the switch and doesn't light up.

So either it's the switch or the relay? I cannot find where the relay is, from what I have read it's supposed to look like a Ford starter relay? I looked in the front of the engine compartment and I don't see anything like that

If anyone can point me where the relay is I sure would appreciate it

As said first check the batteries have a charge.

The 12v controller board should be in one of the basement compartments near the batteries. My 2001 dolphin is in the compartment in front of the door and the batteries are under the steps. The relays are on the back of that board or near it. The second comment in this thread has a diagram that should be similar to yours (not identical) to give you and idea. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f59/nati...ic-232692.html

I have some detailed documentation on the electrical (for a 2001) but I would have to look for it. If you need it let me know.

Found the trouble shooting guide. See attached pdf

If yours is like mine there is a compartment just ahead of the entry door that contains the converter and a fuse panel with the battery boost relay and disconnect relay attached to the back of the fuse panel. I had the same issue as you have and found the switch in the panel near the door was bad. I replaced all the switches in that panel along with the LED that indicates the disconnect relay is on. Keep in mind that the relay is a special type that latches on when activated . If yours is in a different location I would think that the fuse panel would look similar to mine.Click image for larger version

As others have stated, it will be in a compartment close to the house batteries. On our Winnebago, it is located ahead of the steps, house battery location. Closest location between chassis and house batteries, house battery disconnect and connections to chassis for charging and boost systems. It's located in a compartment ln the back wall of a storage compartment.

Did you download the documentation at the link I posted in your other thread? RV Custom Products is the manufacturer of the BCC and the link is direct to their website. You can call RV Custom Products if you still need help.

On my 1988 Dolphin, there is a hidden compartment in the bay next to the entry door towards the front of vehicle. Remove the back panel of the bay and tyhe relays are back there.
