Before pics of 2000 Tradewinds 7372 - lots of work!

Hello all! Just as promised, I have posted pics of our new to us 2000 Tradewinds. This baby was given a very bad interior facelift. You can't see in the photos but the paint is only one layer and the original color is bleeding through...

Likes: Size, layout, KITCHEN, slides, bunks, diesel, mileage (46K), drives like a dream....

Dislikes: paint job (ugly green), flooring, lighting, sofa (disgusting), mirrors, shades, cockroach that came with it....

Plans for this RV: We have 5 wonderful blessings ages 4 - 13. We would like to reno this and make some family memories on the road 2 months + at a time or fulltiming. We homeschool and my husband can telecommute from anywhere... and the kids ain't gettin' any younger!

Thanks for stoppin' by and takin' a look. We are in the demo and planning stage now and hope to get her road worthy by mid-Oct.

Flooring looks good in the pictures but those green walls sure are ugly and yeah, those mirrors might have to go. Other than that it looks like there is less work than you think to make that a really nice coach. I'd remove the mirrors and repaint and re evaluate. You might just be done at that point.
I think that coach was a good decision, congrats.

We did a total interior redo last summer to eliminate the infamous NRV blue Vinyl plank floors, painted walls, new capt chairs, recliner and sofa. Reupolstered all window trim, dinette, ect. Refinished cabinettes and other wood items, installed 2 LED tvs, replaced all lights with LEDs, replaced faucets and a bunch of other stuff.

It was a very rewarding experience and we enjoy our coach so much more, you will too!

You will have many memories just redoing the coach not just the refit but the before and after. Take plenty of pictures you'll forget or others will. Enjoy the fun and rewards. Safe travels.

Hey Maynardfam, looks like you are off to a good start on the remodel. Congrats!

Since it sounds like you might need to put a second coat of white paint on the cabinetry to cover the bleed-thru I would suggest using a softer, off-white like a "sand white". It would add a bit of warmth and not be as stark as the appliance white. Just my opinion so take it for what its worth.

EDIT: Are you sayin that the pics are as you bought it? In that case, never mind. You probably already have some awesome color scheme in mind.

Enjoy your remodel and putting your coach on the road!
