Breville toaster oven

I am replacing my microwave convection oven with the Breville toaster oven which weight is 20 pounds. Does anyone know how I can attach it to the wall in place of the microwave? The Breville must be 4 inches away from the walls on all sides. I thought of putting up a shelf with cast iron brackets but don't know if the wall can support 20 pounds. Comments please! Gail

Welcome to the foum. It might be helpful to sign your posts with the type of RV you have, year, & model number. Who knows, someone on this site may have done exactly what you are asking help with.

Thanks for the info David and Gail. I have a Sea Breeze (1321) 2005. The Breville I forgot to say is 1800 watts and I have 15 amps service. I plan on using it for baking. Will this work?

Probably not. A typical breaker is rated for surge usage at, in your case, 15 amps. The continuous use is normally 80% of that or 12 amps. Your oven at 1800 watts needs 15 amps.

Kix, what would be the most watts to use on 15 amps?

Assuming the breaker is not fatigued I would think a continuous 1200 watts should not trip the breaker. However, having said that you should be cognizant of the potential for voltage drop dependent on wire size and wire run.

Hi Gail,
Have you tried using the Micro/Convection oven for baking? The electric heating element in it should brown just like the toaster oven would. If you don't have the manual, you should be able to download it from GE here.

You are replacing a microwave with the toaster oven... Many microwaves tip the scales at more than 20 pounds.

Suggestion, Find the studs, sink lag bolts into the studs, they will support 20 pounds no problem.. Heck, on my coach they occasionally support 300 pounds (ME) but those are the ones in the rear cap, not a wall.

Many thanks for this - I'm in the process of replacing my microwave with a toaster oven from the thrift store. Now if I can only find a dedicated place for the crockpot.
