Broken Corian stove top cover

Wife dropped a bag of ice onto the corian stove top cover and the front half cracked in two. Any idea if a replacement is available? I may try to glue it, seems to fit perfectly together.

You might check with a countertop installer. They have special adhesives and can make joints disappear.

Epoxy glue is used in making countertops to join seams, so it should work perfectly to put the two pieces together.

Many Corian or other solid-surface materials can be reordered in the same color and pattern. If you can find out who the manufacturer is, you could send them the broken piece and ask for a matching replacement slab.

I was very pleased when I got my cracked Corian stovetop fixed in Eugene Oregon. A quality job, affordable price, and quick turn around. I have no connection.... just happy customer. Click on Pro Contracting website below.

Easy job but this might be one that is best to pay someone to fix. The problem is you'll need to clamp it on all four sides. If you have the clamps then go for it. It not pay someone so your not looking at the clamps for the rest of your life wondering if you'll ever use them again.

If the seam shows after gluing up it can be easy to sand out with about a 300 -500 grit paper on a random orbit sander. I install for custom kitchens and that is the process for finishing the surface and the finer the grit the higher the shine but you don't want to go too far because it shows every mark. Just be careful to sand the entire area and not just the patch so the sanding does not show
