Buying a 1998 Tropi-Cal w/99 Ford V10 Chassis upgrade

New to RVing and my former neighbor has a beautifully kept Tropi-Cal, 17086 miles, driven every year and stored inside. Buying for 5K less than NADA blue book from this retired Air-Force & general aviation mechanic who has kept everything meticulous. Generator I think has 130hrs and all services completed, synthetic oil etc from this one owner moto-home.

Just looking for any Home or Chassis specific advice when it goes to a Ford dealer familiar with this 6350 run# 12956 for the 18000 mile service and pre-buy inspection.

Thanks! Dan

Not really that I can think. the F-53 chassis seems to be really solid. You may want to look at some kind of driving light enhancement. The little square 4x6 headlights don't really work very well for the size of vehicle. Probably more important at this stage of it's life to check propane system, and the plumbing. I had all sorts of hose leaks in mine when I got it and mostly it was a combination of age and some questionable maintenance or maybe even initial build issues. Chances are as you suggest that the original owner is knowledgeable and takes care of things, that it won't be a issue. Be sure to check tires too. If they are the original and they may well be with that mileage, you are driving on 15 year old tires which definitely should be on your need to change list.
