CAMCO Vent Covers

It warmed up to 70 deg yesterday, so I installed our CAMCO Vent covers. They do restrict the vent from going up all the way but not by a lot. I covered all (3) vents but not the Fantastic, Cost was $75.00 for the three on AMAZON.

Here are some Pictures.

I put on 2 of the same covers on a month ago.

They've work week so far; we'll sell how they hold up to the New Mexico sun over the next few years.

I also got them from Amazon.

Yea, know what you mean about the sun around here, July was really something EH. The ads and packageing says they are made of two kinds of plastic, Hope that can hold off the NM Sun.

But the price was right!

That is what I did on my MH too.. only 2 not 3 vents.

The other problem I have.. The motors on the vent fans for the el-cheapo bathroom vents both died... I replaced the fans with either 2 or 3 4" computer type fans (I could put up to 4 in the vent) and they are quieter, more reliable and cost me less than a dollar a fan at Quartsite a few years ago. (bought a dozen for 10 bucks)

Results are very nice

I can leave the bathroom vents open in the rain

Of course I have to close the Fantastic Fan when it rains.

A Computer Fan is a good idea. I didn't install on the Fantastic Fan because the cover does restrict the opening of the vent and with a motorized fan it would just bang into the cover. My Fantastic still senses rain and closes automatically. I’ve read some of them stop working.

I put 2 of those on our former 5th wheel. I liked that you could open them for cleaning and there is venting on 3 sides. Also, they look sleeker. Our Dolphin came with Max Air covers which I don't like as well, but I'm too cheap to replace them.
