Cannot Locate AC/Furnace Air Filter

We've got a 2005 Dolphin 5320 with the Coleman Mach basement air conditioner with dual compressors. I've checked the owners guide and I can't find any mention of where the air filter is at. Or if there's even one on it.

Does anyone know where I might find that buggar. We live in the high desert and it's dusty as heck most of the time, so I'm sure it needs replacing or cleaning, since we've had it now 18 months and it hasn't been replaced yet. I just can't find the darn thing.

Thanks in advance!

Different rig, but I also have basement heat pump -- my filter is on the side of the bed platform, by the floor.

In our 05 DOLPHIN 5342 there is a return air duct on the bed frame facing the back of the MH and the filter is under a panel in the bed frame over the duct. As I recall I had to remove a phillips head screw to take off the panel and get to the 12X9(?) filter.

It's in the floor under the bed on our 2000 Winnie Adventurer 35U.

By the way, I have not inspected/charged or done anything to the basement A/C (only had the unit a year) and I have yet to find any service person or site that will admit to working on the Coleman basement AC/Heat pump in the Atlanta GA area. I believe that I have collected the manuals and installation instructions for the unit but I don't see any way to do preventive maintenance on the thing.

Never would have thought to look there. Thanks very much. I'm sure that's where it is and I'll check it today when I get home from work.

Found the hole in the back of the bed frame but it's just an open hole with a metal screen on it. Did not lift bed, just looked through the opening with a flashlight. Did a quick look on the way to work and didn't have time to extend slide and lift bed.

So the panel that covers the filter. Is it a horizontal panel that lays flat as the bed does? Or vertical?

Yep, the filter sits horizontally over the duct to the AC inside the "box" made into the bed frame.

I have had my coleman unit on the ground to replace the blower. the only thing to sevice are the pillow block bearings that support the squirrel cage but you have to drop the unit and take the top off to do it.Bottom line is wait untill it vibrites and replace the pillow block.another great design.

I believe you will find a "Collector Box" behind the screen. Remove the top and reach down. My filter is a 10X20X1, carried at Ace Hardware stores. I have been using the pleated units, as we travel with 3 cats.

On my 5320 it is under the bed. Home depot carries the filters.

Our bed is on the driver side slide out but still have never found a filter either. I doubt it's in either slide out.

The air intake is directly above the A/C unit. On some units with the slide on the drivers side it is under the drawers. On my 05 5355 it is under the bed.
