Can't believe it wasn't running hot?

Well all I can say is this forum made me do it!

It started will the clutch falling off the a/c compressor and taking out a piece of the radiatior fan blade with no damage to the radiatior? After reading all the post about Cat 3126 slober tubes, dirty rear radiatiors and fan hub bearings now's the time to jump in with both feet.
Not to scare everyone but this is what a radiatior on a 2001 Tradewinds with 80k on the clock looks like! Guess I'll be chasing parts tommorrow?

Is that dirt and oil blocking the outside of the radiator? Is the radiator salvageable?

It's a combination of dirt (road dust) and oil from the slober tube which has be re-routed. This is the side of the radiatior that faces the intercooler inwhich you have no access for cleaning till they are pulled out.

What did the intercooler look like? I suspect it was clean, but I was just wondering. How are you going to clean the radiator? Since its out are you going to get it pressure tested?

Any warning the clutch was about to fail? Did the belt come off also? I, for one would love to see pictures if you have any. Never know when it could happen to me.

Good luck with the repair. Keep us posted

Intercooler was fine, radiator is toast, fins rotted and missing. a/c had been working fine, have no idea when it failed? The belt did not come off it was just the outer clutch on the a/c.

i am sorry to say this but you have the ford radiatior i would look and swop it out for the good one that was so post to come with your RV

to cut cost when making the RV they installed a lower cost ford radiatior if you pull the still cap off you then you can see it

they like to rust and go bad fast in the still box

if you can get the right unit i would

the right unit is in the lower pics

the upper pics are the ford and in one of the pics you can make out the ford name

you well not have to edit any thing it well bolt right in to place as long as you get the still parts that come with it ..... not the old ones left over from your ford one they well not work
