Changing out rear ac to larger unit

I am replacing my 11,000 btun to a 13,500 btu .Has anyone had any problems? Was anything additional needed other than swapping out the unit? 30 amp service 2007 surf side with shedding. Dealer is not familiar, supposed to do it tomorrow.

I don't see any big problem except you will be cooler.

I have 2 --13.5's on my old Eagle- have replaced them both in the last 16 years. Make sure the Ceiling mounting hardware and the interior shroud is the exact same as you have now.

You made mention of a rear A/C--does that mean you also have a front A/C unit. If you have two units and swap one, there is often an issue with compatibility between units and/or with the thermostat. Especially if the remaining unit is considerably older than the new one being installed.....

I am about to replace my front unit with a heat pump. My two units have their own thermostat. I have been told I only need to run an additional wire and new thermostat. Hope it works out that way.
