Chrome Hub Cap remover

We had a roadside service replace a tire today and they wanted/needed the tool to remove the two caps on the rear dually hub cap. My RV was used but I bought from the original owner who would have left any thing like that with the RV. If it is there I have no idea where it would be. Did one come with the RV? do any of you have one?

Moon Caps

If you are talking about the small moon caps - we have an '03 and we just use a screw driver. There is a couple notches where you can set the screwdriver and gently pry up.

One would think that the tire guy would have one.
I have not heard or seen a tool that comes with the coach.
You are referring to the lug nut caps?

Usually, two of the bug fake nuts on each wheel are not fake. You can tell by rapping them with a screwdriver handle or something like that. The nuts that are not fake will sound solid. Take a big socket and loosen these two nuts...the wheel cover pulls off.

Yes the fake lugs are what I'm talking about. He did use one of his tools to loosen and tighten. His asking about the part made me think I was missing something.

Perhaps he was talking about one of these.
Lug Nut Covers: Universal Lug Nut Cover Puller | Iowa80.com
I can take mine off with my hand.

Or perhaps he just didn't know what he was doing

Came in mine

I have a 2004 Seabreeze and the tool to remove the wheel covers came with. It is essentially a socket on the end of a T-handle that can be used to quickly remove the decorative lug nuts that hold the SS wheel covers on.

Our coach came with one and I supplied it to the guys when we had our new tires installed. It's the one with the big socket mounted to a "T" handle. Long story short they destroyed it so I just went out and purchased a socket that fits the nuts and carry that with me. I already had the ratchet and extension.

Thank you so much for the positive reply's. It is nice to know the guy changing my tire had experience owners that had a tool to remove the caps. He had tools on his truck to do the job but asked if I had one.
