Company closed...what to do for parts?

Now that National RV is out of business I keep wondering what I would do if messed up a part on our Palisades fifth wheel. We blew a tire a year or so ago, but thankfully no damage to the skirting. We love our Palisades, but I am concerned. With no company to order parts from...what does everyone plan on doing IF something fails?

Be advised that NEWMAR has been working with all mgf and will work on your RV at their factory in Nappannee, IN. Most of the parts are available as most RVs use the same major suppliers. As for body repair most RV body shops can still repair your RV.

I wonder about slide outs. I do understand that most of the RV components are interchangeable, but I can't help but be a bit concerned about the ones that are not. The National Palisades is a great fifth wheel. The quality is far beyond the competition. That is why we bought it. Too bad there are so few of them around.

Most RV's are like my Damon Intruder

Let's look at it..

The chassis is a workhorse. So Damon did not make the chassis
Now Damon did lay the floor,, Lumber and aluminum and Styrofoam, Truly all "Generic" stuff you can get at many stores

They also built the walls. More or less the same construction, And the roof, which they covered with Bright Tech. Save for the rubber jacket, it's all "off the shelf" stuff, might be a custom bend or two but I"ve had parts re-built by my body man already.. NOTHING Damon built on that coach can not be fabricated by a competent body man

Now we move to the Jacks: Power Gear three slides, 2 models, but all Power gear, The Steps: Kwikee
The slides: Power Gear again, The roof fan Main fan is Fantastic Fan, others are standard, Can't tell you who made 'em but they are standard.

Windows any good auto glass shop can fix

Water systems are all "off the rack" save for the tanks, I can't tell you where to get the tanks but Damon did not make 'em.

Appliances are all 3rd party, Microwave and VCR are LG products under other names, Fridge is Dometic, Radios (Dash and house) Pioneer, Televisions Toshiba. (I replaced one with a Samsung)

Converter is Progressive Dynamics

The only Damon Specific stuff is... The walls, floor and roof/ceiling, and those are made from "off the shelf" stuff. so there is nothing I need worry about.

Same with your coach, only the brand names of the appliances and other stuff changes.
