Considering 01 National Marlin

We are looking at a 2001 Marlin and would appreciate any input. We are unfamiliar with National as a brand but may have a good opportunity. Good, bad...just want input.

zzjea on here has one. He is golfing right now but I will call him later and ask him to respond to you.
Look him up on here and check out the pictures he has posted of his upgrades.

Mike volunteered me and I will be happy to give you input. I am very happy with mine (390 model), and have made many upgrades https://www.flickr.com/photos/zzjea/sets . I have had my rig for several years and feel like I know it pretty well. There aren't many of these out there I think. They only made this one for about a year or so and then merged it into another model. I have always found replacement parts when needed and believe National is as good a MH as any out there, better than many. Too bad the economy kept them out of production a few years back. Let me know what info you need.

John

Thank you

Appreciate the feedback Mike and John! We are also looking at a 2000 Monaco Diplomat. We have a 99 Coachmen but are wanting to upgrade to a Diesel.

A couple of thoughts about the Marlin I have. Because it is exactly 26,000 lbs, I do not need a class B license in Texas (regular Class C is ok up to 26000 lbs) and at almost 40', it also gets much better mileage than a heavier rig (~10+ mpg). Some thoughts to consider. We had a '96 National Dolphin 36' (gas) before this one and wanted a diesel, so I looked for this one and found it in Austin from an individual.
