could it be the return someday??

I was just looking at a news clip in February 2014 issue of Motorhome magazine saying Allied Recreation Group owns the National RV brand name.
I checked Google & they do indeed own the brand name. could it be someday we'll see the return of the National RV's?? hummm!!!!

all you National owners may want to drop them an e-mail if the brand will return anytime soon. they are already bringing back Monaco & Holiday Rambler this year.

As you know, very few coaches, (no matter what the name), are made by the same company that first made them.

Here's just one examle:
SMC, (who first made the early Safaris), was sold to Monaco.
Monaco was acquired by Navistar, and is now owned by Allied Recreation Group.

A Safari, whether built by Monaco, Navistar or Allied Recreation Group is a Safari in name only.

IMO, if/when Allied chooses to put a Monaco, a Holiday Rambler, a National, or any other name plate on a coach they build, the coach is simply an Allied coach with a different name, (no more. no less).

Who ever owns the legal rights can or can not decided to go into production again. Or even sell the name to a interested party.
A good example of the names being marketed or remarketed is Harley Davidson. for year different firms tried to revive the "Indian motorcycle". they got stopped in their tracks every time. Why, because Harley Davidson purchased their assets when they filed bankruptcy many years ago. So, who ever owns the rights has the rights to make the product again. finally some one prevailed in court and now Indian motorcycles are being produced again. don't know what Polaris Industries did to get the name but they are producing. safe travels... ed
