Cracked leather

Does anyone know how to fix cracked leather?

I had a supposed expert come out to repair my cracked leather seats in an antique Cadillac, and it was not helpful at all. They looked no better when he was done. There may be no way to do it.

I had the best luck rubbing in lots of shoe polish and shoe cream, in the appropriate color. That seemed to work okay.
