Dash Air Quits on Hard Acceleration

2006 Dolphin Workhorse dash air/blower quits blowing on hard acceleration and pulling hills.
Anyone else experience this?

Does the blower stop ?
Or does the airflow move from the dash vents to the defrost?

Yep, two very different scenarios. With two very different solutions.

Jeff ; if your problem is the dash air flow switches to defrost , that's a common issue .
Your Evans/Tempcon dash A/C heat system is vacuum controlled , loss of vacuum will set the airflow to default ( defrost ) . At WOT your gas engine has no or little vacuum and the dash system must rely on vacuum stored in the reservoir . There is a check valve in the supply line from the engine intake to the reservoir ( black plastic, soft ball size item on the outside of the fire wall) to prevent vacuum bleeding back to the intake .
There is a possibility that check valve has failed , meaning you loose vacuum as soon as the engine nears WOT, causing the airflow shift.
The other possibility , is that the reservoir simply isn't big enough to maintain the A/C settings on long pulls . Several members have had to add a second reservoir to aide the system . The part is available on Amazon ; E Bay , for around $12.
Vacuum leak , between the reservoir and the dash controls and the actuators is possible .

Dash Air Stops

Thank you all for the info. Will be going out again on Monday and will check if it's going to defrost. Can't hear the blower when it happens, but then the engine is at WOT while listening.

Tape a kleenex over the defrost vent , so you don't have to try and reach up to the top of the dash ,while driving.
