Question Dash air selector

Disappointed that our 2000 Tradewinds is no longer under warranty lol with only 110,000 miles, yesterday while trying to redirect the air flow from the windshield to the passenger, from the passenger to the floor, etc.etc., while moving the dash selector, the air continued to flow to the windshield regardless of selector location. Any thoughts as to the problem, recommendations to fix, fuse, vacuum line? Please help with any assistance...will be much appreciated. Thanks. Keith

The defrost position is the default on most. Usually a vacuum leak on the small liness. I had the same thing and it was the line running from a black ball(vacuum tank)to the switch

Since you have a DP the you have a small vacuum pump for the A/C controls. Pump may have failed or as fletch460 said a leak somewhere.

Thanks for your response. Where am I looking for the vacuum pump and hosing....in the generator compartment at the front and hopefully not underneath the dash? Any specific details would be appreciated. Thanks. Keith

I only seen one picture of the vacuum and it did show it in the top of the generator compartment not under the dash. The pump is small, can hold it in your hand.
This post from 2012 has pictures that yours may look like.

might be able to turn the key on and hear it up, if it's a leak the pump will run. if not it might just come for a second. my hose from the pump to the vacuum canister was broken and brittle. but now I have to check and see if mine is still in warranty
