Dog house removal

I have a 2004 Dolphin. I wanted to inspect the top of the engine so I tried to remove the dog house, but after removing what I thought were all the screws, the top didn't move. Any help you could give would be appreciated.

You should have 4 screws or 4 cam locks to remove or open, the seals on the under side were installed with contact cement and some of it most likely bled out and glued the dog house down. A big screw driver used as a pry bar should do the trick to get a corner loose. After removal clean up the excess glue and you should be ok in the future.

On my 05 the seal had stuck to the lid and after I pryed it up I had to replace the seal. I got the new seal material from a place that installed camper shells and glued it down with 3M weather strip adheseve.

mine is a very tight fit. pry up the rear. move it back n forth sidways while pulling to the rear. geting it back on is another thing. trimming the excess carpet helps.

Lug Wrench

After removing the screws, I gently used a lug wrench, on a 2 X 4 on edge, gently & gradually going all around the edges. I did not damage the gasket.

Mine has, I believe, only 4 long screws that need to be removed and then pull up and out of the way. Two of the screws are at the top of the hump and the other two are almost hidden at the bottom of the hump by the floor's carpet. I also have to be careful to move the passenger chair out of the way because it is one of those oversized "buddy chairs".

Dog house removal, I got it!

I want to thank all of you for the tips on how to remove the house. I found all the bolts and just had to pry a little bit on the house. Didn't mess up the weather strips either.
