Dolphin dashboard display
Has anyone had to have their Dolphin dashboard LCD display repaired or replaced? If so where did you send it? It’s getting to where I can’t read the gear selector or mileage read out! Thanks

ASSUMING you have a Workhorse chassis, you are likely seeing a common problem with the LCD screen portion of the Actia dash cluster used by WCC. The best place to send it, or to buy their DIY repair kit is HERE: www.urvp.com They even have a vin # checking feature to ensure you get the right parts the first time. MANY members here have used their service, and they are highly recommended Workhorse experts.
OBTW, you don't have "freightliner" if you have a Workhorse chassis.

All these years I was under the impression that it was a workhorse engine on a freightliner chassis. Don’t know where I got that! Learn something everyday!! Thanks for letting me know and thanks for the information!

I'm on my third Actia gauge.
They will also randomly do a reset while you are driving. Lights will flash, gauges will reset, all warning lights will come on.
It used to scare me...now it's HoHum.

You're welcome. If your chassis vin # begins with "5B4", it is a Workhorse chassis, built in Union City, IN by Workhorse Custom Chassis company and UAW workers. Good people, good company, all gone far too soon, thanks to Navistar conglomerate.

Geez, I guess I've got that to look forward to then. No problems with my 2004 display so far (knock wood).
Arch, have your problem units had the orange display?

Original was grey, next two were orange which is easier to read.

The display on my 2004 is orange. Does that mean it has likely been replaced at some point?

I don't know when they switched to the orange so maybe...maybe not.
