Red face Door Security Keyless Pad

I'm new but impressed with this forum. Hoping to hear from anyone that knows how to repair or Replace the keyless entry door keypad. Our door keys work, but the previous owner said this panel never did. Pressing the hard plastic encased keypad overlay does not give any tactile feedback. We have the instructions to change the combination but not sure how to determine if it ever worked or is working. Any help greatly appreciated..

We had the same issue with ours.
on the inside of the door there is a battery compartment ( 2 AA's ) I think.
you will need a Philips screw driver to remove the cover.
after battery replacement it worked fine.
hope that helps.
