I have a 2004 Dolphin 6335 and want to know if the driver's seat turns around 180 degrees facing the rear. If it does, how does one turn it. I keep hitting the steering wheel with the seat and can't figure out how to rotate it.

I have a 2003 6342 and the seat will swivel 180 clockwise. Make sure the seat back is in the fully upright position and at about midway front to rear travel. Begin the clockwise swivel until the front of the seat touches the doghouse cover and/or the seatback touches the steering wheel that is in the full forward position. Next press the button to move the seat forward and continue to turn the seat in the clockwise direction. You should be just barley able to move the seatback against the steering wheel (touching slightly) to complete the 180 turn

I don't see your chassis, however if you have a Workhorse with the leather wrapped steering wheel, the answer is no. If you have a Ford it should swivel 180. The Workhorse wheel is larger than Fords.

DASA is right on with procedure to spin the seat around! Mine has the large leather wrapped wheel and manages to squeak by it in the process of turning described above.

Here's how mine works. Turn the drivers seat to face the middle with the back by the side window. Make sure the steering wheel is full up forward and the seat back is straight up. Move the seat forward on the slide track (toward the middle) as far as it will go. Now turn the seat more to the right and pull the back toward you to bypass the steering wheel. The wheel presses into the seat back side cushion but I can get the seat past it by pulling hard. This is on a W22. It will all depend on how your seat was mounted relative to the wheel.

I might add that tilting the rear of the seat up all the way and tilting the front of the seat down all of the way, gives the most clearance when rotating past the steering wheel. Oh, and make sure seat is all the way forward.

I have a 98 Tropical gasser and have also been frustrated by this issue. Does anyone know if the above instructions will work for a National RV of the late 90's?

I have never found any combination that allows my drivers seat to turn a full 180 degrees in my '99 Tropical (Ford frame). But it turns far enough to allow conversation...

I finally got the driver's side seat to turn 180 deg. and facing the back. Combine DASA's, two2go's and Jeepster47's comments and you'll find the secret to the turn. Particular emphasis on two2go's statement "Now turn the seat more to the right and pull the back toward you to bypass the streering wheel." Give that back a manly pull, it really takes a big tug as you turn it to the right.

Now, if you need to leave quickly, how difficult will it be to get a handle on the reverse procedure. Do any of you have the reverse procedure documented, vs trying to figure it out?

I just went through the reverse of how I got it turned around. I guess the big thing is that I really had to force the seat passed the steering wheel while pulling the back of the seat toward me as it goes through tight area.
I feared that I wouldn't be able to get back to normal after the first time I turned it but it did go back.

There you go Gayland. Glad you scored success. I have found more useful information on this forum that I have put to use than I can count. BTW, if the seat does get stuck, I guess you could just put the coach on cruise control, straddle the seat and hug around the seat back to steer, and lean forward with your chin on the headrest

Well, I finally got the nerve to try this on my 98 Tropical. I didn't think it would work. But with the right moves, it does. A couple of years ago, I removed the front TV and installed a 32" HDTV in the mid-coach hutch, so I really needed to utilize that driver's seat. Nice improvement. Thanks for the help making it work.
